Happy New Year!
Wow our first week back and 2nd quarter is almost
done I still can’t believe we have been in school for 73 days. How is everyone finding the time to get their
assessments, report cards, meetings, and now getting ready for conferences? Is there any magic tricks you can share?
If you find any magic tricks, will you please let me know? The only thing that helps me finish everything is just spending as much time at school as I need to.
ReplyDeleteAs far as time management goes, I do find to-do lists to be helpful. It helps me organize and prioritize what needs to be done. I put everything on my list that I need to do. That way, when I finish something (even a small something), I feel empowered when I check it off of my list.
Good question. I am certainly feeling the pressure as I juggle report cards, conferences, PLC, my committee work, coaching and observations, parent inquiries and emails, and student testing while still trying to be my most effective in the classroom and to keep my students moving forward toward their goals. I am keeping lists everywhere - paper, electronic reminders, the works. It is just a busy time. Every day, I accomplish so much but it never seems to be enough. My only suggestion is to do your best, and try to keep some balance with work and life. Be kind to yourself!
