I cannot believe how fast the year is already going; however I can honestly say that I am ready for a 2 day break. With teaching I feel that we can often time forget the 'ME time.' Its important that we still have a balance between our work life and personal life. Sometimes they can get very intertwined and its important to take that time for us.
What are you looking most forward to on your break?
House prep before the big chill comes :).And the holiday!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to spending some time with my family. Also, I will be looking forward to grading memoirs AND still getting a weekend. It's nice when there is enough of a break to work and play!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Connie. I look forward to break because I can see my family, but it also gives me time to plan a head for work. I am hoping I am able to plan enough to create a light load for me the week I get back. We shall see! Have a good break!
ReplyDeleteI took two whole days off - it was wonderful! I feel like I really had a weekend and still have time to get caught up and ready for the week. I've done some exciting things like paying my bills and sleeping in. It is really important to have a little down time to relax and step back from the pace for a bit. Hope you are all having a great holiday!

DeleteI would agree. I also thinks it's an excellent idea to spend time with staff outside of the classroom/plc environment. For instance, we play basketball's on Wednesday's at East after school and it's a wonderful opportunity to build up staff morale and plain old good fun:)
